Summertime Beach Portrait Studio: "Ft. Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island were officially established in 1941. Pre historic Indians were mound builders and a museum collection with the artifacts exists on that mound today. The first Europeans to visit the area were the Spaniards.
The area has been colonized by the Spanish and the English and early maps labeled the area as Santa Rosa or Bay St. Rose. Contrary to popular belief, there was not much pirate activity in the area even though we love to celebrate the Billy Bowlegs festival every June. In 1861, Camp Walton was a confederate military camp used by the 1st Florida Regiment. Later in 1935, the military built what is today Eglin Air Force Base.
Today the visitors to our area enjoy staying on the white sandy beaches of Okaloosa Island. The newly remodeled beach park features outdoor activities and water sports. Be sure to get your boogie board and volleyball net out! Don't forget your sunscreen. The fishing pier next door is for the anglers and at night The Swamp and Howl At The Moon provide entertainment and concerts!

Summertime Beach Portrait Studio: "The South Walton community is made up of small townships. Each with it's own unique history and stories. To get to the area from Destin, take Highway 98 east. Drive past the Sandestin Resort to the County Roar 30A. It's about 1.5 miles and take the exit by the Chevron station. The townships in order are: Dune Allen, Blue Mountain, Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Seaside, Seagrove, Sea Crest, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach and the Inlet Beach. The 30A road parallels the major Highway 98.
A little history... the county seat for Walton County is DeFuniak Springs which is close to Britton Hill.. the highest point in Florida. It was founded by George Walton the secretary of the State for the territory of Florida in 1821. Tourism didn't start here till though Charles Gray founded Grayton Beach in 1885. Since the land was too sandy and distribution for farming was difficult the Butler family, in 1913, decided instead to start the first resort in the Grayton. It soon became a popular place in the summer for families.
South Walton to this day is still a small town community. If you are looking for a place to get away from the crowds come and see us. There are many fine dining restaurants in the area: Fish Out of Water, Bud & Alleys, and Angelina's Pizzeria & Pasta. At Gulf Place they have weekly outdoor concerts and festivals. There are bike rentals at the resort areas or check out Big Daddy's bikes and sport. They also offered guided canoe tours through the intercoastal dune lakes.
After the vacation is over.. the only thing left are the photos..

Choose Summertime Beach Portraits Studio to preserve your family memories

We specialized in family vacation portraits. Our unique system for shooting your session, viewing, ordering and shipping are efficient so that you can enjoy your time on the beach (or site seeing in Paris) and not in a studio.
We are not just your “standard” sized portrait studio. All images are custom printed, cropped and retouched. We do not use online services or labs that are sub-par.
We offer phone consultations for our clients for clothing suggestions and arranging sessions times and locations. This is a portrait about you not the clothes. Amateur studios suggest that any clothing is ok. Clothing choices are an important part of beautiful wall portraits. We only suggest white or white and khaki for beach sessions. Gardens and park sessions should be in solid greens or dark colors. For black and white images we suggest a deep burgundy. Other clothing may look very flattering on you but we want to see “you” your face and your beautiful eyes... not the clothes.
We are the ONLY studio with a private Gulf front lot in Destin, Florida for beach sessions. We also have real sand castles for candid shot with the children.
We are the only masters of Rembrandt light. It takes a skilled professional photographer to use this technique. And very few can see and control light to do Rembrandt correctly. See examples below of flat, split, and Rembrandt lighting. The most flattering light/shadow is the Rembrandt. Look for the triangle on the cheek."
